Safe Life acquires Neosalus, strengthens Spanish AED and connected monitoring offering
Stockholm, Sweden – May 29, 2026 – Safe Life, a leading global provider of public access life-saving solutions, announces that Neosalus (“Neosalus”) (https://neosalus.com) is joining the Group. Neosalus, based in Lleida, is a leader in the Spanish market for automated external defibrillators (AEDs) and connected monitoring services. A substantial share of its business is built around subscription-based service offerings, with IoT-enabled devices that allow remote monitoring, real-time readiness checks and proactive maintenance — ensuring its customers’ AED programs are always rescue-ready.
“Spain continues to be one of our most strategically important markets, and Neosalus is a fantastic addition to our European team,” says Jimmy Eriksson, CEO of Safe Life. “Rafa and his team have built a differentiated offering by combining strong service capabilities with smart, connected technology. The IoT layer they have developed sets a new bar for how AED programs can be managed at scale, and I am very much looking forward to working with them to bring these capabilities to more customers — both in Spain and across our wider group.”
Neosalus is led by founder and CEO Rafa Ramirez, who has driven the company’s evolution from a regional AED distributor into a national, technology-enabled service provider. Under his leadership, the team has built a loyal customer base across Spain — spanning corporates, public entities, healthcare organizations and SMEs — and is well positioned to continue this trajectory with the platform strength and resources of the Safe Life Group.
“From the very first conversation, I felt that Safe Life was building something genuinely different in our industry — a group where local entrepreneurship and a global platform reinforce each other. The work we have done at Neosalus to digitalize AED services and bring IoT-enabled monitoring to our customers fits naturally with that vision.”, says Rafa Ramirez. “For me, this step also has a very personal component. Neosalus was born with the aim of helping create safer and more cardioprotected environments, and seeing how a company created in Lleida can now be part of a leading international group is a source of immense pride. None of this would have been possible without the commitment of our team, the trust of our clients, and the support of everyone who has believed in our project over these years.”
The acquisition is part of Safe Life’s ambitious and accelerated growth strategy. With increasing demand for AEDs, connected safety devices and life-saving services, Safe Life continues to pursue strategic opportunities to expand its reach and impact. The Group’s strategy combines use of its platform strength and breadth of offering, with harnessing the power of local entrepreneurship and market knowledge.
