Safe Life acquires ProSafe Training, expands to Vancouver

Stockholm, Sweden and Vancouver, BC, Canada – September 30, 2026

Safe Life, a leading provider of life‑saving solutions with operations across North America, Europe and Asia, announces the acquisition of ProSafe Training School (‘ProSafe’), headquartered in Vancouver, BC.

ProSafe has provided professional and first aid training since 1999. They operate 8 Campuses across British Columbia and train over 35,000 people every year, from initial layperson first aid course participants all the way to specific medical training for first responders. In addition to first aid training courses, ProSafe offers classes in health and safety, mobile equipment operation, and workplace safety, and they also supply first aid equipment and supplies. The company’s LIT Aquatics division offers full curriculums for lifeguard and swim instructor certifications, running 2,000 courses per year out of 18 different locations.

The company takes great pride in its focus on high quality in education and actual skills transfer, which very clearly underpins its curriculum design, hands-on training approach and the experience level amongst instructors. This commitment to quality and excellence has led to customer trust, strong growth for the business, and has resulted in ProSafe Training School being awarded as a Top 3 Provincial Training provider by the Canadian Red Cross – three years in a row.

“We are impressed by what the ProSafe team have accomplished,” said Jimmy Eriksson, CEO of Safe Life. “They are a leader in their market, and a great complement to Safe Life’s existing Canadian presence. Colin has led his team to new heights, and we look forward to building new steps together to continue that journey. Safe Life is committed to delivering life-savings readiness to more people, from CPR and first aid training to AEDs and first aid equipment. I look forward to us realizing that for more British Columbians, together with Colin and everyone at ProSafe and LIT.”

Colin Lau, President of ProSafe Training School, added:
“We are so proud of what we have achieved to date, the customer and societal impact and also the recognition from Canadian Red Cross. Having said that, I’m eager to continue our journey. I have no doubt that Safe Life is the ultimate partner for that continuation and acceleration. They have strong presence in first aid and safety training in both Quebec and Ontario, and also bring a new level of expertise in AEDs and first aid equipment. The ProSafe team is committed to serving our clients to enable them to be ready, to ensure safety requirements are met, and to save more lives. And we’re committed to learning new things and addressing new opportunities together with our Safe Life colleagues.”

Since its founding, Safe Life has deployed a strategy that combines organic development of customer relationships and offerings with the acquisition of leading companies. This strategy continues, and the ProSafe acquisition marks yet another important milestone.
